6:30am
Our mayor is an early bird! Always up at the quack of dawn.
The esteemed Sylvanian mayor has been long rumoured to be so proud of his Mayoral medal that he even wears it to bed at night! And here is a peep at the official evidence!

8:30am
The day begins in the Mayoral chamber. Mayor Waddlington doesn't have a secretary, and indeed, he doesn't need one! So efficient is his wife, Wanda Waddlington. She glides through every situation without ruffling a feather.
"Did you see the royal invitation from the Duck of Cambridge, dear?"

8:45am
Being Mayor of Sylvania is an extremely important job, but Mayor Waddlington always has time and attention for the little things that pop up anywhere at any time of the day! (Even when they’re under his desk)
A forward thinking mayor, he keeps his golf bag close by, as you never know what kind of urgent business meeting might crop up in the course of the day

*
*
9:30am
Well, it's time to get out amongst the people, and carry out his morning inspection of Sylvania.... which always concludes at the Forest Nursery School, where the Waddlingtons drop the ducklings off for the day.

10:00am
Mayor Waddlington has a sticky beak at the scaffolding around the town's parade float. He puffed out his feather's officially and questioned Wade Waters whether this scaffolding had an official council permit.
"Er, no, Your Highness", admitted the Beaver handyman.
"Then duck into my office this afternoon" offers the Mayor.

*
10:30am
Attending the opening of the Sylvanian Library Book Day. There was a momentary pause in the proceedings when the scholarly Librarian, Mrs Timbertop, asked their esteemed mayor who his favourite literary character was, and he answered "Donald Duck"
*
*
*
*
11.00am
Mayor Waddlington was happy to inspect the new Ticket Office under construction outside of the town Gallery, from a couple of feet away, however he had no intention of getting close and smudging this morning's freshly laundered white lace neckcloth!
*
*
*
*
12.00 noon
Back to the office and time to put his aching feet up for 5 minutes, after waddling around town for 2 hours while wearing a heavy medallion.
*
*
*
*
12.09pm
There's a sharp knock at the door! "Wade Waters beaver come to get that permit, Your Honour!
Mayor Waddlington fluffs his feathers and takes out his quill.
*
*
*
*
12.25pm!
Sylvanian Bus Conductor's Olive and Stan Bearbury require an urgent appointment with the Mayor!
"Your honour! We need your advice! Traffic is migrating to the town centre from throughout Sylvania!"
"There's a sale on at Applewood Department store and vehicles are parking all over the footpath, including our Bus Stands"
Mayor Waddlington's sage piece of wisdom:
"From past experience, sometimes you just have to go with the flow, wing it and see where you will land."
*
*
*
*
1.34pm
Mrs Nettlefield Goat and the kids sweep into the office. She often likes to stop in for a long chat about town affairs, however when Mayor Waddlington begins one of his two hours speeches, he becomes irritated with Mrs Nettlefield constantly butting in. Skillfully, Wanda acts as a decoy while the Mayor attends to his bills.
*
*
*
*
2.00pm sharp!
Mayor Waddlington awards Hamish McWalkie first prize in the local fancy dress competition. He chose Hamish's Changing of the Guards uniform as winner, because he has fond memories of his own visit to Duckingham Palace.
*
*
*
*
3.25pm
On his way back to the office, Mayor Waddlington can't resist despoiling his running rival's election poster! He doesn't consider it fowl play, especially as he considers Trunk is far too right wing to be mayor of Sylvania!
*
*
*
*
7:30pm
At end of a busy day Mayor Waddlington just needs to polish his official chain of office before settling down for the night!
*
*
*
*
And spend a few moments admiring it in the mirror!

The Sylvanian Families Waddlington's Ducks were first released in 1997.
There was a subsequent release of the much-loved mayoral family in 2005.
To our knowledge, Mayor Bill Waddlington has retained the offical office of Mayor since 1997, in spite of Candidate Trunk's attempts to run for office several times during the mayoral election.
Slightly pompous, given to long speeches and incredibly proud of his medal, Mayor Waddlington has long remained one of Sylvania's favourite characters over the years.
